Adolescent Treatment
Braces are a common part of adolescence, helping teens address changes in their teeth while still growing. By ages 11–13, most permanent teeth have come in, making it the perfect time to correct bite problems, spacing issues, or misalignment. Orthodontic problems don’t improve on their own — early intervention makes treatment faster, easier, and often less costly than waiting until adulthood.
Benefits
During teenage years, the body is still growing, so orthodontic appliances work efficiently to improve both appearance and function. Beyond health benefits, there’s a social side too — teens often see classmates in the office, making the experience more relatable and less intimidating. The result is a confident, lifelong smile.
Treatment Process
Your first visit helps us create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs. We’ll take photos, X-rays, and sometimes a bite model to fully assess your teeth and jaws. Based on this evaluation, your plan may include traditional braces (with or without elastics) or other specialized orthodontic appliances to guide your teeth into proper alignment. In some cases, small internal devices or temporary external headgear may also be used to guide major tooth or jaw movement.

Metal Braces
Smaller, lighter brackets with optional colored ties for customization.

Clear Braces
Ceramic or composite brackets that blend in with teeth for a subtler look.

Clear Aligners
Removable trays that gradually straighten teeth, often with compliance indicators for teens.
Treatment Duration
The active phase typically lasts 6–30 months, depending on individual needs. Afterward, retainers are worn as recommended to keep teeth in their new position. With proper care, your teen’s new smile will last a lifetime.
