How long should I wear my aligners each day?

Are there any food restrictions during treatment?

Aligners should be worn for about 20–22 hours daily. You can remove them for meals, drinks, and brushing or flossing.

No special restrictions. You can eat your usual foods, but be sure to remove your aligners first. Brush your teeth and the aligners before putting them back in.

Will my speech be affected?

You might notice a slight lisp at first. Most people adjust quickly by speaking normally while wearing the aligners.

Is Invisalign treatment uncomfortable?

Some pressure or mild soreness may occur for a day or two after inserting a new aligner. This is a normal sign that your teeth are gradually moving into place.

Can I chew gum while wearing aligners?

It’s best to remove your aligners before chewing gum, as gum can stick and damage them.

Can I smoke with the aligners in?

Smoking with aligners in is discouraged, as smoke can discolor the trays.

How should I clean my aligners?

How often will I see the orthodontist during treatment?

Do I need retainers after treatment?

Brushing them gently with toothpaste or rinsing them with water will keep them clean and fresh.

Office visits are typically scheduled every 5–6 weeks to monitor progress and make any necessary adjustments.

Yes. Wearing retainers at night is essential to maintain your new bite and the position of your teeth long-term.

How long does treatment usually take?

Treatment length depends on how misaligned the teeth are. Invisalign often works faster than traditional braces, typically between 6 and 18 months.

Is Invisalign suitable for teenagers?

Yes, once all permanent teeth, including second molars, have fully erupted.
